On December 17, 2010, Justin and I left the good ole US of A to head to Europe to spend a few days exploring Amsterdam before heading to our main destination....TANZANIA. We went to Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro (19,340 feet...a mere 9,600 feet below the summit of Everest) and go on a four day safari in the Serengeti. Our trip was a total of 17 days, which included Christmas and New Year's. Due to the large amount of pictures and stories I wanted to share on the blog, I had to post several blog posts to capture them all. To see all the posts for our Africa trip, click here. I kept a journal day by day and wrote down the events throughout the entire trip. My blogposts for this trip are those journal entries. Anything in parenthesis and in red are my "two cents" added to what I previously wrote in the journal.
