The Future Mr. and Mrs. Craig Turman

YAAAAAAY for one of my bridesmaids, Lillian, who got engaged this week!!! She turned 29 on Wednesday and as her present, the Craigger popped the question at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. For those of you who don't know Lillian, she was my best friend in Nashville. Her and my sister Lindsey went to church together and when she was moving to Nashville, Lindsey told her to give me a call. When she moved up we met up at a place called Amerigo's to have dinner (which is ironic that it was also our last dinner together in Nashville before I moved back) and chatted all night. We quickly became great friends and even found a church together in Nashville that we both loved so dearly and that her and Craig still go to.

Me and ole Lil had a TON of great moments in Nashville, but one of the funniest things Lillian has done that made me laugh my butt off is right when her and Craig started dating. She had been seeing him a couple of times and asked me to go to a Vandy baseball game with them to meet him so he could get the Marcie stamp of approval (Justin also had to get the Lillian stamp of approval as well). I immediately loved Craig because he loved The Office and Lost. I had been trying to get Lillian to watch Lost FOREVER, but she never would. Of course as soon as Craig wants her to watch it, she does....thanks Lil. Anywho, this is not the funny part of the story, that was just about when I first met Craig.

The funny part is this.....

Craig sent Lillian flowers to her office one day and they emailed back and forth talking about it. She tried to forward one of his emails to me and a few other girls saying things like "Ladies...this is the one...he is the guy for me". What Lillian didn't realize until later was that instead of hitting "forward" she hit "reply" and sent it to Craig. I've never seen her face so red.....It was amazing!!! I remember her calling me in a frantic trying to figure out how to "unsend" an email in outlook. By this time Craig had already gotten it and was laughing as well.

These two are so adorable together and complement each other so well. I know they are going to have an incredible marriage. Of course I have to put up a picture of them together and there were several I could have chosen from, but I had to choose this one because it shows off the Craigger's personality (sorry Lil...but I love this pic):

It was at a tacky sweater Christmas Party in 2008. Anyway, Congrats to my friends...I love you both!!! Lillian...I'm already planning my toast.....you better hope I don't bring up the night at Tin Roof when you left me there all stranded and vulnerable.....

Today's Prayer Request:

1) Today I just want everyone to pray for everyone I work with, including me. We are in high gear, getting close to our deadlines and trying to get everything wrapped up. Please pray for our sanity and the sanity of our spouses/significant others. This is a really hard time for them as well. Just yesterday Justin was upset that I was "no fun" anymore because I am working so much causing me not to get home til 9pm every night. We've got 4 1/2 weeks left of this madness so please pray for us to pull through alive!

Snow Day!!

It snowed in Birmingham this weekend! I was so glad it did too, it reminded me of Nashville :) I miss the snow up there! No snow day is complete without snowball fights...which happened in the backyard between Rob and Justin. To be fair though, Justin had a completely unfair advantage. He had been outside for a while messing around in the snow before asking Rob to come have a snowball fight with him. When Rob came outside, he quickly realized that Justin had already made MANY snowballs and just kept hitting Rob over and over, not even giving Rob any time to make the first snowball for himself. Needless to say, Justin won the fight and I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of it.

Here's some of the pics I was able to take of our snow day :)

Also, Justin sent me the link to this video today and I could NOT stop laughing!! First off, the dog just looks like Gizmo, our dog. Secondly, Giz has bad dreams and makes funny noises too, of course not to this extent.....

Honeymoon is completely booked!

Justin just got done booking both hotels for our honeymoon!!!! We are both so incredibly excited! We've been looking online for when the hour long shows about "Best Beaches in Hawaii" or "50 Things to Do in Hawaii" type things come on the travel channel. Hawaii's best beaches comes on next Saturday at 2pm so everyone check it out :) Like I said before, we will first fly into Honolulu and stay there for 2 nights before flying to Maui and staying there for the remaining 7 nights. Out hotel in Honolulu is called Hilton Hawaiian Village.

There are several towers at this hotel and we will be staying at the Lagoon Tower. This hotel was featured in a magazine that Gordon, Justin's dad, gave him to help him plan the honeymoon. Other than the obvious reasons we like this hotel, the fact that it has PENGUINS walking around was cool enough by itself to choose this as our place to stay. We'll only be on Oahu for two days. Our flight gets into Honolulu around 2ish so that day will be spent relaxing at the pool and beach. The next day we will be going to the Arizona site for a little history lesson. We'll fly from Honolulu to Maui on Tuesday morning. Justin and I are SUPER excited about our hotel in Maui!!!

We did a lot of research on places to stay in Hawaii and neither of us really liked any hotel as much as we liked this one. We literally will spend an entire day just walking around the 40 acres the hotel covers and hanging out by the AMAZING pools!! While in Maui is when we will be doing most of our adventures. We're still in the process of planning our activities of what we'll be doing while in Maui. So far, we are planning on scuba diving during the day AND night, sea kayaking, snorkeling, zip lining, going to Hawaii's highpoint, taking a helicopter tour, going to the top of a volcano at 4am to watch the sunrise and then biking our way down the mountain, and of course, attending an authentic luau. This is going to be the BEST TRIP EVER!

Here's some of our favorite pics of Grand Wailea:
